The “Space for Change” program was created by Open Ukraine Foundation to identify, support, and recognize active young people who achieve success in various fields, who offer and implement innovative and bright solutions. The Project is looking for passionate young people whose successful work is focused not only on pursuing their own career, but also on improvement of their community life.

A wide range of organizations, both from Ukraine’s capital and regions, can nominate young people for participation in the Program: companies, NGO’s, scientific and educational institutions, media, state and local authorities. The Supervisory Board of the “Space for Change” program will select up to 50 winners out of these nominees, young people from 20 to 35 years of age, who must have accomplished the following:

• have demonstrated best possible results in implementing their projects and innovative idea
• have implemented projects which work for the benefit of the local communities.

You can see the Program winners for 2008 in the “Winners” section. The Program administration is conducting intense work with the winners by organizing trainings and consultations on grant writing. Those who want to apply for the participation in the Program should wait for the next call for nominations in Summer 2009.
